Galaxy Background with Sharpie Markers

Hi everyone,

I wanted to try out a technique that I saw on Pinterest. I saw someone using sharpie markers on a tile and dilute it with alcohol. My idea, since I didn’t have any tiles, was to try to do this on Yupo paper. I figured that if it worked on tiles then it should work on Yupo paper, but I wasn’t sure.

I was happy to see that it worked beautifully and I really love how the backgrounds turned out. Watch the video below to see how to create these backgrounds with Sharpie Markers:

Here are the pictures of my backgrounds. I think if I had some more bright sharpie colors the backgrounds would have been brighter. But I still love how the markers diluted with the alcohol.
