Home is where the heart is

This layout is very meaningful to me. It really comes from my heart and soul. It touches the inner core of my being and its hard to describe it in any other way.

I made this layout for the Once Upon a Sketch April challenge. We were given “Home” as the journaling theme and this theme felt very meaningful to me. I didn’t want to journal about my actual physical home where I live. I wanted to journal about what HOME means to me in my heart and in my soul. I journaled on 2 doilies that I hid behind the picture.
I hope you like what I’ve made: I put my whole heart into it.
I used these beautiful papers “My Private Happiness” from The ScrapCake that I got in my monthly kit at C’est Magnifique. These papers are just gorgeous.
The journaling reads:
” Home is where the heart is and mine is always with you. I cannot imagine a life without you. You 3 are my light, the fire that feeds my soul; and without you I wouldn’t survive. I can’t even thing those awful thoughts. I love you from the bottom of my heart and soul… and no matter where we are or where we live, my home is always wherever you are. You are my home…and I always want to go back home to you. You are my private happiness”

I think The ScrapCake will appreciate the last line. I just felt I had to include it. It fit the theme perfectly.
I also used this layout for a challenge at Frosted Designs. The challenge was to use recycled materials. For this layout, I used Cheese Cloth that I took from my grandmother’s house and is probably so old because I don’t ever remember her making hand made cheese!!! You can see the soft and subtle effect it gives the layout.
