Halloween Lantern- Prima’s October PPP

This month’s Prima PPP is filled with  fall colors perfect for Halloween or Autumn pics.
I created a fall layout for the Prima ArtZine. However for the blog I designed this Halloween lantern below:
I altered this dollar store item and created a Halloween Lantern for this PPP project.  We have a really good dollar store in our area and I always find the coolest items to alter. I buy them and store them on my shelves until I get inspired to create an OTP with them.
I used lots of beautiful Prima flowers from both the Engraver and the Lady Bird collections. I also used some vines to create movement around the lantern.

I used some black and orange seam binding and tied some bows around the haddle.

I even used some cute ghost and pumpkin glittery stickers I found at the dollar store. I tucked them behind some flowers for added effect.

Finally my favorite part was adding the cheese cloth because it makes it looks like spider webs, which is perfect for the Halloween theme.

As you can see, it actually lights up inside!! I took this picture in the dark so you can’t really see the actual colors of the flowers, but I really wanted to show you how it lights up.
