Early 1900s Oxford University Stoneware Smoking SetCharming English stoneware smoking set, early 20th century, comprised of a large tobacco jar and companion match holder striker. The jar features a textured salt glazed body with smooth glazed collar, while the smaller piece is decorated with a colorful heraldic crest bearing a lion and shield, evocative of Oxford University souvenir ware. Rich two tone finish with warm patina throughout. Both pieces marked on underside. Tobacco jar 6. 25"H x 5. 5"W.
